Our first stop is Bazeos tower , once a former monastery of 17th cen
AD,cultural centre and significant monument nowadays .Then we drive
in Tragea valley, famous for the olive groves and Apano kastro,we visit Damalas,a cute traditional peaceful village ,to enjoy a demonstration at the only remaining traditional
pottery workshop ,see the traditional restored olive press and understand the olive oil procedures back then and walk to the village’s square.Following stop is Chalki , the
neoclassical village where you can walk in picturesque alleys ,visit the traditional citron distillery/museum and have an espresso enjoying the classy atmosphere and then a visit at
the oldest Byzantine church in Balcan peninsula ,Panagia Drossiani (4th or 6th cen AD).Afterwards we have a photostop at a place from where you can enjoy the most spectacular
view of Tragea valley and then we cross Kynidaros village. Our last stop is Kouros of Melanes, an impressive 6th century BC statue abandoned in the ancient marble quarry,a
perfect sample of Archaic period sculpture. Upon clients’ request, lunch/snack break will be provided at Kourounochori village, with great view of Melanes valley.
